Features
Our Judo Mats are manufactured in the UK to the highest standards. They are designed to absorb heavy break falls as well as not being too hard for novices.
The Cannons UK IJF competition judo mats meet the requirements of the IJF.
Our Competition Judo Mats have an extra heavy duty polyester tatami PVC finish. This therefore gives the mats a longer lifespan and better durability.
The Mat base is made from a superior waffle material giving it increased anti slip properties.
The foam core of the mat is also of the highest quality. With a 14lb chip foam core (220kg/m3) all shocks are well absorbed.
The heat sealed welded corners add extra reinforcement and will remain in place.
Furthermore, the mats are available in Black, Blue, Green, Red and Yellow and in two sizes:
- 1m x 1m mat weighing 9kg
- 2m x 1m mat weighing 18kg
As the mats are quite heavy we also recommend two people to move them around. This is for health and safety measures and it will help prevent any material damage.
The range of competition judo mats are manufactured to ISO 9001 Standards. They are also flame retardant tested to BS 1892-3: 2003 “HIGH HAZARD” classification. The mats have passed the High Hazard Classification as per Table 1 of BS 1892 – 3: 2003. Additionally the mats have been independently tested by ROSPA (The Royal Society for the prevention of accidents).
Finally, the mats have passed a fall height test of 1.6m.

Cannons UK judo mats are for indoor use only.
We advise that Cannons UKJudo mats should be stored in a dry clean location, preferably on an appropriate flat mat trolley.
We advise that Cannons UK judo mats are inspected on a regular basis to ensure that they are in good working condition.
Judo mats that are found to have cuts or other damage, should be removed from service. Damaged or cut mats may affect the flammability standard of the product.
We advise that Cannons UK judo mats can be cleaned using a cloth, and a small amount of household detergent in luke warm water. Please note that only the top PVC surface is to be cleaned.
