Support your gymnastics practice
An Air Roll can be used for instructor-led progressions towards skills such as walkovers and back handsprings, alongside suitable balance and core exercises.
Your instructor can help you choose exercises, positioning and firmness appropriate to the gymnast’s ability. Use suitable surrounding matting and supervision during practice.
Choose the right size
The measurements shown are diameter × length. All three sizes are 120cm long, with larger diameters providing a taller roll.
Use these gymnast height ranges as a starting guide:
- 60cm diameter: gymnast heights of 89–109cm
- 75cm diameter: gymnast heights of 110–134cm
- 90cm diameter: gymnast heights over 134cm
The most suitable size also depends on the exercises being practised. Check with your instructor before ordering if you are unsure which diameter to choose.
Add a stabiliser to your setup
A compatible Air Roll stabiliser can help hold the roll in position during suitable training drills.
The stabiliser is an additional accessory. Ask your instructor whether it is appropriate for your chosen exercises and setup.
Adjust, deflate and store
Adjust the air pressure following the supplied inflation instructions, and check the firmness before each session.
After training, the roll can be deflated and packed into its included carry bag for storage or transport. For outdoor use, choose a clean, flat, smooth surface with a protective groundsheet underneath. Allow the roll to dry completely before packing away.

What is an Air Roll used for?
An Air Roll is an inflatable cylindrical training aid for coached gymnastics drills, including progressions towards walkovers and back handsprings, as well as balance and core exercises. The appropriate exercises depend on the gymnast’s ability and should be chosen with an instructor.
What do the sizes mean?
The first measurement is the diameter and the second is the length. Choose from 60cm × 120cm, 75cm × 120cm or 90cm × 120cm. All three rolls are 120cm long; a larger diameter gives a taller roll.
Which size should I choose?
As a starting guide, the 60cm roll is suggested for gymnast heights of 89–109cm, the 75cm roll for 110–134cm, and the 90cm roll for heights over 134cm. Height alone does not determine suitability: ask your instructor to confirm the size for the gymnast and the skills being practised.
Which colours are available?
Pink, Blue, Mint and Rainbow are available across the three size options.
Can beginners use an Air Roll?
It can form part of an instructor-led progression. Beginners should use it with appropriate supervision and surrounding matting. It does not replace coaching or spotting for gymnastics skills.
Do I need a stabiliser?
A cylindrical roll can move during use. A compatible Air Roll stabiliser can help hold it in position for suitable drills. Ask your instructor whether a stabiliser is appropriate for your setup; it is an additional accessory.
How do I adjust the firmness?
Adjust the air pressure according to the supplied inflation instructions. Check the pressure before each session and avoid overinflation. Ask your instructor about the appropriate firmness for the exercise.

Can I use it outdoors?

Clean and dry it, then deflate following the supplied instructions and pack it into the carry bag. Store in a dry place away from direct sunlight and heat.
Cleaning
Wipe the Air Roll with a soft, damp cloth and mild soapy water. Avoid abrasive cleaners, solvents and stiff brushes. Allow it to dry completely before packing away.
Before each session
Check the surface, seams and valve for damage, and check the air pressure. Follow the supplied inflation instructions and avoid overinflation. Changes in temperature can affect firmness, so recheck the pressure when moving between spaces.
During use
Use on a clean, smooth surface, away from sharp objects. For outdoor use, place a protective groundsheet underneath and avoid rough ground. Do not drag the roll across the floor. Use suitable surrounding matting and instructor guidance for gymnastics exercises.
Storage
Deflate according to the supplied instructions and pack the clean, dry roll into its carry bag. Store in a dry place away from direct sunlight and sources of heat.
Repairs
A repair kit is included for suitable minor repairs. Stop using the roll if it is damaged or loses pressure, and contact Cannons UK if you need advice.
