Our 20mm Basic EVA jigsaw mats provide a cushioned surface for martial arts practice, stretching, floor exercises and general fitness at home. Each mat is red on one side and blue on the other, so you can choose one colour or alternate them to create a pattern.
Each mat measures 1m × 1m and covers approximately 1m² before cutting. The jigsaw edges let you connect mats to cover a larger area, and border strips are included to finish exposed edges.
Is the Basic mat right for you?
These mats have a stated density of 90–100kg/m³ and are intended for domestic use. We do not recommend them for regular club or commercial use. If you see a mat with a similar density advertised for commercial use, ask the seller what testing and usage guidance supports that claim. For a regularly used training space, we recommend our Premium jigsaw mats.

1. What size is each mat?
Each mat measures 1m × 1m and is 20mm thick. One mat covers approximately 1m² before any cutting.
2. What are the mats made from?
They are made from EVA foam, with red on one side and blue on the other. The product specification states a density of 90–100kg/m³ and a hardness of Shore C 45.
3. What can I use these mats for?
These Basic mats are intended for home use, including martial arts practice, stretching, floor exercises and general fitness. For regular use in a club, school or commercial setting, we recommend our Premium mats.
4. Will they provide cushioning?
Yes, the 20mm EVA foam provides a cushioned surface for floor based exercise. These mats should not be described as fall protection or used in place of equipment designed for high impact landings.
5. What floor should I lay them on?
Lay the mats on a clean, flat, dry surface. They may move on some floors, particularly during energetic activity, so check that the completed area is stable before use.
6. How do the mats join together?
The jigsaw edges interlock to create a larger training area. Border strips are included to finish the exposed edges. If you are adding to mats bought previously, contact us first so we can check compatibility.
7. How do I clean them?
Wipe the surface with a damp cloth and, if needed, a little mild soap. Avoid soaking the mats or using harsh chemicals. Let them dry fully before use.
8. Can I use them outdoors?
These mats are intended for indoor use. We do not recommend leaving them outdoors or installing them where they will regularly get wet.
9. Can I choose which colour faces up?
Yes. Each mat has a red side and a blue side, so you can lay them all one colour or alternate colours to create a pattern.
10. Are bulk discounts available?
Yes. The current quantity discounts are shown on this product page. If you are buying for a club, school or commercial space, contact us about the more suitable Premium range.
Wipe the mats with a damp cloth and mild soap when needed.
New mats may have some residual release agent from manufacturing; if the surface feels slippery, clean it with mild soap or diluted sugar soap, then wipe away any residue with a clean damp cloth and allow the mats to dry fully before use.
Avoid abrasive cleaners, soaking the foam and leaving the mats outdoors.
Store them flat in a clean, dry place when not in use.
