All subfloors must have a gradient (2% is suggested) to ensure adequate drainage;
The moisture in the subfloor shall not exceed 4 % and the temperature of the subfloor shall be between 5°C and 30 °C;
- Always install tiles in favourable weather conditions:
Temperatures between +10°C; and +30°C,
Relative Air Humidity not exceeding 65 %.
If the subloor does not meet the above noted requirements, the tiles shall not be installed until the problem has been corrected!
*** It is buyer's responsibility to make sure all surfaces are in suitable condition to ensure good adhesion. ***
Determine Your Layout
Dry Lay rubber tiles so that you have a good idea of what the flooring will look like and to choose your starting place. We recommend laying tiles using a brick – bond pattern in which tiles are staggered in alternating rows to provide long – term stability. To achieve the recommended “brick” pattern, it may be necessary to cut the first and last tiles.
EPOS Two-component PU Adhesive Preparation
The resin component (Comp. A) should be thoroughly stirred to incorporate any slight separation. Whilst stirring, the hardener (comp. B) should be added. Continue stirring until a homogenous mix is obtained. Mixing ratio: 9 (comp A): 1 ( comp B)
Working temperature : Preferably between +10°C and +30°C., higher temperature will reduce the mixture pot life, which is approximately 45 minutes at 20 °C,
25-30 minutes at 30 °C.
Relative Air Humidity: not exceeding 65 %.
Apply adhesive with a suitable, notched trowel evenly only to an area of such size that tile can be set while adhesive is still wet. Set tile in place immediately. Lift a newly set spot occasionally to be sure adhesive is transferring to back. Press tile in firmly with hands.
Work your way across the installation area, setting tiles into adhesive, being aware of mixture’s pot life.
Ensure tiles are fit snugly but not tightly together.
Consumption: 1 kg g/m2, depending on the smoothness of the subfloor.
Do not spill or drip adhesive onto the face of the rubber tiles.
Wet adhesive smears should be removed immediately with a damp cloth.
Always wear gloves.
Let the Floor Cure
Do no place playground equipment, furniture.
Allow traffic or institute general cleaning procedure 48 hours after installation.
